Microsoft has all but confirmed that it’s a matter of ‘when’, not ‘if’ Sora will come to Copilot.
If you’ve been under a rock, Sora is the new text-to-video AI model demonstrated by OpenAI recently. It is not out to the public yet, but the sample video generations shared prove that it is miles ahead of anything else in the market.
The capabilities have excited the AI community once again, and made headlines all over the world. People are starting to wonder what this might mean for our understanding of reality.
Now back to Microsoft; OpenAI’s models power Microsoft Copilot, based on a deal between the two companies.
In a recent Twitter conversation, CEO of Advertising & Web Services at Microsoft, Mikhail Parakhin, all but confirmed that Sora will be eventually integrated with Copilot.
But not to raise your hope, he acknowledged that this integration will take some time. How long that is remains anyone’s guess.
Based on the repercussions of such a tool, I doubt they themselves are sure when they’ll deploy it.
