DeepMind senior research scientist and a guy you should definitely be following on Twitter for your AI hopium, has predicted something major in the field coming very soon.
Ted, posting on Thursday, said that we should expect 3 or 4 major developments in the robotics and AI space, in coming weeks.
AI and Robotics are tied to the hip, and the convergence of the two technologies will be a great leap forward.
Currently, it appears that robotics advancement is lagging behind, which is why news in that space is eagerly anticipated.
Ted did not give any specifics, only telling his followers to ‘Adjust their timelines, because 2024 will be crazy’.
He however was quick to clarify that he did not mean AGI.
Well, this may turn out to be a big nothingburger, but a man can hope.
