The controversies behind it aside, the video presented a perfect stage for technology demonstration, and one company has jumped on the opportunity.
The original interview has a human translator speaking over Putin, and to many that was rather distracting.
AI startup Sync Labs has stepped forward to rectify this travesty.
They have released the entire 2 hours 7 minutes of the interview, in English and with perfect lip sync.
Founder Prady Modukuru posted the video on Twitter on Wednesday, explaining that the only reason they couldn’t post it sooner is because their systems “struggled with generating 2 hours of content for a single job”.
