Galaxy AI Features Coming To More Samsung Devices

February 22, 2024

Samsung is set to enhance the user experience across a wide range of its devices with the upcoming One UL 6.1 update.

This significant rollout, scheduled for late March, aims to democratize advanced AI features across the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and the Tab S9 lineup, marking a significant expansion of Samsung’s AI capabilities to a broader audience.

Previously, Galaxy AI features were only available for the Galaxy S24 series.

This reflects the tech giant’s commitment to keeping its user base at the forefront of technological advancements, as competition in the space continues to heat up.

This strategic move aligns with the industry-wide trend of integrating AI to enhance digital experiences, something Apple is said to be working on.

Some of Galaxy AI’s features coming to more devices

  • Circle to Search: Google’s gesture-based search feature allows users to perform searches directly from their screen using intuitive actions such as circling, highlighting, and tapping.
  • Live Translate and Interpreter: These features break down language barriers by providing real-time voice and text translations during phone calls and live conversations.
  • Chat Assist: This tool refines communication by offering tone adjustments in messages and text translations in 13 languages through the Samsung Keyboard.
  • Note Assist and Browsing Assist: Users can generate summaries and translate notes, along with getting quick summaries of news articles, enhancing productivity and information consumption.
  • Advanced Editing Tools: New generative editing capabilities enable users to adjust photos with ease, including resizing, repositioning, and realigning objects. Additional features like Edit Suggestion and Instant Slow-Mo enrich media editing and creation.

With the One UL 6.1 update, Samsung not only broadens the availability of its AI features but also sets a new benchmark for integrating artificial intelligence into consumer electronics.

This expansion underscores Samsung’s dedication to innovation and perhaps some sense of anticipation of Apple doing the same in their coming devices.
